Exercises For Those With Chronic Pain

I suffer from Fibromyalgia and most days the pain is absolutely horrible. I tried going to physical therapy and the exercises they taught me there only made my pain worse. Do any of you know of exercises that help with staying fit and relieving chronic pain?

I too have chronic pain. I have Neuropathy and the chonic pain is a killer. I find my pain is less when I do Yoga. It's a lot easier on the body. I also use some resistance bands and do cardio. @Janella have you tried doing Yoga yet? It might help you.

I have never tried yoga, but I am very interested in trying it now. When I was in physical therapy, I did some work with resistance bands and it made the pain in my upper arms worse.

Walking is an excellent form of light aerobic exercise which brings oxygen and nutrition to your muscles and it also helps to boost energy and reduce pain.

I feel for those who have Chronic pain. It's never fun. Hopefully the workouts do those who have it good.
