  1. Oh wow, that sounds horrible. I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, it must have been very traumatising, but I'm glad you're up and walking again. I'm not a fitness expert, but although you can't do cardio exercises, there should still be plenty of calisthenics you could perform without using your ankle. Things like sit-ups, pull-ups, crunches, leg raises and calf raises would probably be more suitable for you. You could probably also manage some weight-lifting and certain yoga positions.
  2. Are you a collector of anything? Or do you think collections are a waste of space and money? Everyone in my family is a collector, so I've never thought it was a bad thing, but I know a lot of people think collection is just another word for clutter haha. I collect Nintendo games and merchandise, my sister collects Hello Kitty merchandise and Blythe dolls, and my mom collects Madame Alexander dolls. What kind of things do you, or the people you know, collect?
  3. I shop at Walmart all the time. I sometimes go there two or three times per week haha. Since Zellers and Target closed here in Canada, there aren't many options when it comes to discount department stores anymore. I like Walmart because, like GuitarGuy said, they have good prices for video games and other things. I also like its relaxed atmosphere, because most of the stores in my area are kind of ritzy and high-end, and I don't always feel comfortable shopping in places like that.
  4. Now that you mention it, I really don't like cabbage rolls either lol. There's something about ground beef and sloppy, cooked cabbage that just doesn't seem to go together. Maybe I'm pickier than I thought haha.
  5. Is there food that you hate, but everyone else seems love? I don't consider myself an especially picky eater, and in general, I'll try to get things down even if they taste bad. However, there's definitely some foods that I secretly dislike. There's probably a lot of things that I've eaten and wouldn't bother eating again, but of the things I'm served often, I really dislike shrimp, cilantro, most chicken, and anything with too many spices. What are your least favourite foods?
  6. I've always preferred physical books to e-books. I'm a digital artist and a lot of my time is spent staring at a screen, so if I'm going to read, it's usually to give my eyes a rest from screens. There's other little things too, like being able to see at a glance how much of the book I've read and being able to keep a collection of books on my shelf, but they're not really good reasons I guess.
  7. Can I hire you to teach me guitar haha? I have a guitar, and I've always wanted to learn how to play it, but I just don't have the knack for it at all. What I can play however, is a super annoying instrument called the ocarina. It's not cool at all, and the sound it makes is a little bit shrill, but somehow it's still fun to play. I tried playing the piano too, but again, I just have no talent for it.
  8. I'm a lazy person, so it's easier for me to diet initially. When I want to get back into exercising and eating less, or when I want to lose some weight, I start with eating smaller meals first, then I cut out snacks, and then finally I start exercising again. It's just easier for me to stay motivated when I do it in steps like that. Otherwise I just feel sore and hungry, and cheat on my diet.
  9. This probably isn't very healthy either, but I pretty much only drink water now. The only times I drink something else is on special occasions, like on holidays, or when family comes over for dinner. I have coke once a year on Christmas, and I have iced tea on all the other special occasions. I also have iced tea at the restaurant sometimes too.
  10. I guess I'm kind of the opposite. I held out on getting an Android tablet until just this Christmas actually haha. Before I always thought that I didn't need one because my laptop can do more, and my phone fits in my pocket, but eventually I got fed up with my phone's smaller screen size and my laptop's long loading times. It's pretty handy for when I just want to look something up, or respond to an e-mail or something like that. It also has more internal storage than my phone, so I like that too.
  11. No, I definitely couldn't give up sweets forever. If I'm being honest, the only food I actually like are sweet foods, and the only reason I like my birthday is because of the birthday cake lol. I don't eat sweets too often, because I don't want to gain weight, but not being able to eat any sweet foods would be super depressing.
  12. Do you like console gaming? What's your favourite game console, and why? Handheld consoles included! My favourite is the Nintendo 64. Mostly for nostalgia reasons I guess, but also because I think the games (although there weren't many), were genuinely good. It was sort of the reason why I got into video games in the first place, and why I collect Nintendo stuff.
  13. My first job was at a Chinese buffet restaurant. I was a phone operator, but I also had to wash the glasses and do a bunch of other odd jobs, in addition to answering questions and taking orders. It was absolutely horrible haha. The customers were rude, and my supervisor loved to make my life miserable. I've never worked in a restaurant since.
  14. Ah, that's true. I guess solo sports like swimming and skating would be pointless for competitive people. I just stay away from team sports because I'm not too confident about my skills, and I wouldn't want to think that I was the one who made the team lose if I did something wrong haha.
  15. I'm not really into team sports too much, but I used to take figure skating, and I used to swim everyday as well. I really liked skating and swimming a lot. Since I'm Canadian though, I also watch hockey every now and then too haha.
