  1. Very disappointed to see the Cowboys lose in the last second of the game. They played a great game with only a few mistakes. However, since Aaron Rogers walks on water, there could only be one outcome. I will be pulling HARD against the packers.
  2. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I have thought about the personal trainer GuitarGuy. Just been putting it off. I really could do the floor exercises 10kStars. I will have to figure out some way to get down and up off the floor. Maybe use a chair to help? Again, thanks for the suggestions.
  3. I'm so old I don't remember what picture books I read as a kid. However, my kids loved the Dr. Suess and Sesame Street books. Of course when you read to kids you have to read them over and over again. One of my fondest memories is my mom reading Heidi to me and my brother when we were small.
  4. Would this include fruit as well? If I could have fruit, then I could give up sweets. I do love a little chocolate now and then but if it involved health or money, there would be no question.
  5. Hardly ever. I'll have a soda once in a blue moon. Other times it's strictly water. And...I have two cups of coffee every day. Reason being, I've read too many studies about soda and especially diet soda. It's really not good for you bodily functions.
  6. Why is it that some people just have to get out and drive when it snows? They have no place to go. They just want to get out and see what's happening. Can't these idiots just stay home and drink hot cocoa? They need to get off the roads and let the ones that really have to go somewhere have a safer trip. That's my rant for today and I'm sticking to it.
  7. I didn't used to be a big Walmart fan but we recently moved and the major store here is..........You guessed it, Walmart. I try to do most of my shopping online at Amazon but groceries are a different story. Walmart does have the best grocery prices.
  8. Having been raised on a farm, I love most all vegetables. The one I never did acquire a taste for is asparagus. I don't really have a favorite but ranked right up at the top are green beans, corn on the cob, sliced tomatoes and fried okra. Now I have made myself hungry. You should be ashamed. LOL!
  9. Boxed mac and cheese would be a good place to start. It's simple and all you need to add is butter and milk. Spaghetti noodles wouldn't be bad either. Then you could add butter and herbs when they are done or a jar of Rague. Let us know what you decide.
  10. After seeing Rogue 1 hubby and I decided we would have a Star Wars weekend and watch all 7 movies back to back. This comes after a semi argument about the sequence of events. We haven't done this yet but plans are in the works. I look forward to it.
  11. Do you ever listen to books on CD? When I travel alone I always try to have a book ready to pop in the CD player in my car. If I can't read then I can certainly listen to a good book or story. I find some pretty good ones at yard sales and you can always check them out at the library.
  12. I would love to have a robot cleaner. There's only two of us and two cats but your wouldn't believe what comes off my floors. We live on the coast so sand comes in every day and then the cat hair is everywhere. I end up sweeping almost every day. Are they expensive?
  13. 7:00 is rather late to have dinner. However, if you had something small like a snack rather than a heavy meal it would be O.K. After 8:00 is a no no for eating anything and I'm totally guilty of breaking that rule.
  14. Back in 2009, I was involved in a horrific car accident. (Not my fault). I now have a "bionic" ankle with 9 screws and a plate. 1st option was to amputate but they managed to save it. I now walk with a cane. Very blessed to be walking at all but I have to do a lot of sitting. Riding bikes, walking....anything involving the ankle is out of the question. What would you suggest in the way of exercise? I really need to lose some of this weight I have managed to accumulate since '09.
  15. Some of my students got into the Redwall books and couldn't put them down. I love it when a kid can't put down a book. Does my heart good. Another series that I thought of after my post above is Bunnicula. It's about a Dog, cat and a vampire bunny. It's narrated by the dog and is absolutely hilarious. The thing that draws me to these books is that I have a cat just like the one in the book. If you're in for a short, funny ready, give it a ry.
